If you are going to sell some Magic the Gathering cards, it is important to know of the value of your cards before you start. Because you can know whether the cards you are dealing with worth quite lots of money or they are just worthless.

Rare and Mythic Rare Cards

By their very definition, these cards are difficult to obtain, so tend to be higher in value. However, this does not guarantee a good value. Rare cards released in newer sets, their prices tend to vary from around 50c to $10, while Mythic Rares tend to have a range of around $1 to $50 or more.

Uncommon Cards

If you want to sell commons, I suggest you selling these cards by the hundred or even thousand once. However, do not expect to get great profits from these cards.

Apparently, there are exceptions to every rule, and the biggest variation lies in rare and mythic rare cards, so do your research before you start to sell. Another warning to note is that the oldest cards from sets such as Alpha and Beta have the greatest variation in value. Any old cards like this should be researched before beginning selling.

Im a Gamer

I think I am addicted. I’ve got to the stage where I feel that without gaming, I have nothing interesting to do.

On weekdays, I game for about five to seven hours a day and in the weekends I will spend 15 hours a day gaming online. I once spent 48 hours in one go at a game. It’s crazy, I know. I was at university then and full of energy.

It’s exceedingly rare that I purchase a game from Gamestop these days.  I got tired of being harangued for trying to buy products there, or being told that they didn’t have a product when they did, or going across the street to Best Buy or Target or Fred Meyer and finding fifty copies of the game I was trying to buy heaped up like some heathen altar to commerce.  There’s more, besides.  At some point in the last few years, I became incredibly uncomfortable with the used games market.

I traded in games for a long time, there’s probably comics somewhere in the archive about it – you can imagine how quickly my cohort and I consume these things. It was sort of like Free Money, and we should have understood from the outset that no such thing exists. You meet one person who creates games for a living, just one, and it becomes very difficult to maintain this virtuous fiction.

Starcraft 2 Strategies

Before you jump into Starcraft 2 and start a multiplayer online game, ask yourself if you are ready to take on an opponent without strategies and tactics. Many go into a game and without a game plan, or, jump into a competitive online game and wing it. Please do not wing it. You will hurt your rankings.

Develop some strategies and tactics first. I’ll give you some simple Terran Strategies below:

Terran Infantry Strategy:
Starcraft 2 has changed things a bit with Terran Infantry. You can win games with an Infantry only strategy! That is, if you know what you’re doing.

Terran Infantry have three main units: Marines, Marauders, and Medivacs. Also known as the Terran MMM build. You want a lot of Barracks to make infantry units and also a few Starports to have enough Medivacs to heal your Marines.

All you have to do now is go on the offensive after building up enough units. Send a couple marines in to scout and to find the heavily defended enemy areas, or send them in to fight as a distraction while you flank the enemy’s weak side with your main army of infantry.

If you’re going up against Protoss or Zerg, make sure to have some Ghosts so you can E.M.P. enemy casters like High Templar, wiping out their shields. You should build 2 Engineering Bays and upgrade fast.

Terran Mech Strategy:
Factories will be your best friend here. You’ll need to build Tanks, Thors, and Hellions. It’s expensive to build but worth the investment. Siege your tanks outside the opponents base to surround them and slowly move up the rear units while the ones in front provide cover fire. You may want to have some Vikings to support them in the offensive.

Terran mech units can be useful at creating artificial choke points. Siege Tanks make a great way of controlling space and defending chokes.

Combined Infantry and Mech Strategy
You’ll want 1 Barrack, 1 Starport, 1 Factory. This will allow you to have a balanced number of infantry and mech units to carry out your strategy and prepares you for anything coming your way. This strategy allows you to have more options with your plan of attack.

With this strategy you must develop tactics against each race. You can’t use the same strategy that you would use on a Terran opponent when faced with a Zerg opponent.

It’s really important that you keep these things in mind for your Terran strategy to work:

+ Scouting is always important – do it – (you can also float your buildings to scout!)
+ Learn an efficient build order that suits you and what you plan to do
+ Watch your resources!
+ Watch your unit count – as it increases you’ll need to build more depots
+ Know Hotkeys! I can’t stress this enough – if you are not fast enough you’ll lose!
+ Learn to Micro Manage to get the best out of your units – upgrade to help them!
+ Get the big picture of the match while micro managing and implement tactics to help your main strategy

These are all skills you will need to develop in order to become a Starcraft 2 Master player!
